RealTruck.com
After nearly 8 years of working from home I bit the bullet on an 8-5 office job as front end developer for RealTruck.com. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, not only have I learned and grown as a web programmer in the short time that I have worked here they also made the transition painless.
The framework RealTruck uses is largely home grown and built in OOP PHP/SQL Server 2005. While working here I have modified the appearance of the site, going as far as developing sprites to reduce http requests and ultimately load time. I have worked on the backend user interface utilizing jQuery and Ajax to help make backend maintenance easier.
I have created and modified existing email templates, as well as implemented an open source php class to convert external css to inline at the time of sending so that email templates could still have all of the benefits of external css while still rendering correctly in all the various email clients.
I have also gained experience in setting up A/B tests through Google Analytics. As well as working with funnels and just general event tracking. We just recently concluded an A/B test on the site layout, ultimately going with a lighter colored design.
